The study shows a different “supply model“. “Digital, Efficient, Sustainable, Innovative, Renewable Energy”, in the acronym DESIRE, is the model that allows sustainable energy to be used in an efficient manner thank to the use of renewable sources and technologies for the digitization and the electrification of consumption. This new model in the REPowerEU3 scenario could lead the supply chain to have cumulative economic effects of up to €361 billion and over 540,000 new jobs in less than ten years. These are benefits that could be substantially realized by 2030, accelerating the installation of new renewable capacity and, at the same time, supporting the development of the national technological chain linked to renewables and smart energy.
